Currently the Parent Gateway allows you to see information about your child’s attendance, achievements and assessment, as well as their timetable. The Learning Gateway uses real-time data, so the information is always current. Grace Academy takes electronic registers in morning and afternoon registration and in all lessons. You will be able to see attendance for individual lessons.

Our tutors finish their morning registers by 9am. You will be able to log in to the Learning Gateway after 9am to see whether your child has been marked as present. However, there are several reasons why the register may be late going into the SIMS system (for example, a tutor may not be in school, so the register may initially be done on paper by a cover supervisor). If you notice that your child is not registered, please wait and check after 9.30am before contacting the school. If you have any queries regarding attendance, please contact the Attendance Officer.

Data integrity is important to us. While we endeavour to make sure that all of our data is accurate, we realise that mistakes are possible. If you have any queries regarding the information about your child, including assessment information, please email solihull@graceacademy.org.uk.

We launched the Parent Gateway for all parents and guardians in 2010. We sent out usernames and passwords to all parents/guardians that we have registered as the primary point of contact for each child. If you are not the primary contact, or have not received your username, please email solihull@graceacademy.org.uk. If you are entitled to view the information, then we will provide you with a username and password.

Grace Academy and Capita Children’s Services have worked to provide a secure system for this information. All of the data is stored on site at the Academy. Parents/guardians log into secure servers. Data is sent over secure protocols from Grace Academy to the computer of the parent/guardian viewing the Learning Gateway. We have taken every precaution to prevent this information being viewed by people who should not have access to it.
