The curriculum at Key Stage 4 allows students to specialise more, building on firm foundations. The Pathways model continues and develops to offer a variety of GCSE subjects: Applied GCSE’s, NVQ’s, BTEC, Vocational, Work-Based, Industry Standard and other courses… either at Grace Academy or at partner Schools and Colleges. There will be a wide range of courses and subjects on offer and, for some students, A level studies will begin at this time. Grace Academy benefits from its own integrated Sixth Form and we offer courses from A levels and Vocational qualification through to the International Baccalaureate. The curriculum specialises further and the range and diversity of subjects continues to develop. Full details about the Sixth Form and its curriculum are available from the Academy. Grace Academy values creativity and works hard to develop innovative and creative skills in our students. In Music, Drama, Dance and Art, students experience a wide range of activities with specialist tuition and with Artists in residence supporting their work during the year. Sports and Leisure are important facets of the Academy’s drive for encouraging a healthy lifestyle. All students benefit from our superb facilities and our excellent teaching and coaching. We offer a wide range of examinations and examination styles for students. These include regular testing and examinations in each year of the Academy to chart progress with formal SAT’s tests in Year 9.
In upper school there are GCSE examinations, coupled with vocational courses, NVQ’s and Industry Standard Qualifications.
