Moving on to secondary school is an important step – you will be studying a variety of subjects and will be moving around the school between different lessons. You will have access to excellent specialised resources e.g. P.E., Technology, ICT, Music and Science.

Welcome and Charter Signing Evening, Wednesday 27th June, 6.30 p.m.

This is an informative evening and an essential part of the transition process. Staff who speak at the evening will ensure that you are fully informed about all of the aspects of your child’s transition to Grace Academy.

Prior to this evening we will send you important documents which you should complete and bring with you, together with a copy of your child's birth certificate. This evening will also be an opportunity for you to speak with members of staff about any concerns that you or your child may have about the transition process.

Transition Week – Week commencing 2nd July.

This will be an exciting week for new students who will receive an introduction to Grace Academy Darlaston. Be prepared for your child to return home enthusiastic about their new studies! They will experience creative curriculum events and be introduced to some exciting enrichment activities.

On each day registration will begin at 8.15 a.m. in readiness for an 8.30 a.m. start. Each day will end at 2.55 p.m. and students will be leaving via the student exit, on Herberts Park Road. Lunch will be provided throughout the week, free of charge.
