Welcome to the Website of Grace Academy Darlaston. We are an 11-19 Academy that serves the community of both Darlaston and Walsall.
Whilst our Academy is not a faith school, it does have a unique Christian ethos based upon five core values: grace, respect, integrity, potential and excellence. We strive to uphold these values in all that we do and are determined that our attitudes and actions reflect these values.
Our mission is to provide an excellent education for our students and a focus for community activity. We work together with many local partners including local primary schools and Walsall Children’s Services in order that the young people in our care achieve the very best that they can.
Early indications of our impact are that there will be a real improvement in attainment and achievement for our students at GCSE and A Level.
We have some really exciting plans in place for next year as well. Our curriculum is being redesigned, so that we now have a 2 year Key Stage 3 and students start GCSE courses in Year 9. This will mean that some young people could be starting A level courses in Year 11.
Our offering is both rich and diverse with students gaining access to many and varied experiences. In only 12 months since we opened over 80% of our young people have been on educational visits and this has paid dividends in the Academy. We have seen engagement with learning and lessons improve considerably.
We are still not satisfied and you can rest assured that we will leave no stone unturned in our quest to ensure that our students do the very best they can.
