Grace Academy Darlaston seeks to become a focal point in the community, with its forthcoming (Summer 2013) 'state-of-the-art' facilities including:

• Lecture Theatre
• Resource Centre and internet cafe
• Business & Enterprise and ICT Suites
• Community Assembly Hall and 'Social Street'
• Four-court Sports Hall
• Gymnasium
• All-weather pitch
• All-weather multi-use games area
• Several grass outdoor pitches.

The Academy & sponsor have expressed their requirement for the ‘public art brief’ to represent the Christian ethos, core values, & vision of the new Academy. These requirements have been strongly represented within the building form & it is anticipated that the ‘art scheme’ will be an extension of these principles.

While the Academy, sponsor & Walsall authority consider the public art brief to reflect the core principles of the client team, it is also important for applicant artists to undertake their own research & investigation of the local area, history, site & Academy. Applicant artists should feel free to explore their own researched findings & present these in a relevant & sensitive manner.
