Specialist Business & Enterprise Academy
I am incredibly proud to have joined this vibrant and progressive academy at such an exciting time.
Since my appointment I have managed to visit the academy weekly and have been impressed by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the work ethic of the students and staff alike.
The academy has moved forward at quite a pace over the last year and both staff and students should be proud of the achievements made. It is a privilege to be entrusted with the job of leading Grace Academy Darlaston and continuing this excellent work. It is my intention to see the academy flourish and to guide all students to achieve their full potential whilst embracing the core values that all Grace Academies uphold.
I have several ideas to ensure the continuous improvement of the academy, but I am planning to build on the already sound foundations and do not intend to jeopardise the current stability of the academy. This being the case, do not expect to see major changes in the short term.
However, the challenges that schools and academies face in current times are numerous, not least the almost monthly change in Government expectation of what they must deliver and how they are measured. It is important that we work together to make sure that our academy serves the needs of our community and our young people. I hope that as many of you as possible will get involved in the life of the academy and help develop its future path, thus ensuring that your sons and daughters enjoy academy life and develop the skills and knowledge they need to lead successful adult lives.
I look forward to meeting you in the coming months and please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any concerns or queries.
